Screwed Plate Heat Exchanger
TL – Screwed Plate Heat Exchanger
Despite the fact that the screwed plate heat exchanger produce high-pressure loss, they are still found in many applications.
A bolted plate heat exchanger is a heat exchanger in which multiple plates are held together in a frame by clamping bolts. This design allows for a modular and flexible configuration of the plate pack, which facilitates easy cleaning, maintenance, and subsequent performance adjustments.
Bolted plate heat exchangers are used to efficiently transfer heat between two fluids, for example, for cooling, heating, or temperature stabilization in industrial hydraulic and process systems. They are suitable for numerous industrial applications where flexibility and ease of maintenance are required.
Bolted plate heat exchangers offer high flexibility and adaptability because the number of plates can be changed after installation. They are easy to clean and maintain because individual plates are accessible. Furthermore, the Universal Hydraulik TL series meets OEM requirements and offers reliable performance for long-term industrial use.
Unlike brazed plate heat exchangers, where the plates are permanently joined, the bolted version allows for the installation, replacement, or removal of individual plates. This makes them easier to maintain and more flexible for future performance adjustments, even though they typically exhibit higher pressure losses.
Universal Hydraulik offers various plate materials (e.g., titanium, Hastelloy), modularly welded plates, variable embossing depths, and increased plate thicknesses for its bolted plate heat exchangers. These options allow for adaptation to different operating conditions, media, and thermal requirements.
